Dark Knight Producer On The Road To Damascus

Robert Stone 1998 novel Damascus Gate, a political thriller involving a journalist and a group of extremists of modern-day Jerusalem, was developed as a film. Gate is set in a world where an innovative agreement between Palestinians and Israelis is almost completely burned when a journalist is out on a plot by extremists to sabotage efforts. Charles Roveno, the producer behind the summer blockbuster The Dark Knight, is developing the project with frequent collaborator Richard suck. The title is a reference to a reference point leads to Jerusalem Old City.
